Northbridge was where I first experienced true ownership. I wasn’t just supporting projects — I was trusted to lead initiatives that mattered. From building tools to streamline timelines to exploring how AI could transform project management, I learned how to turn ideas into actionable strategies. I presented my findings to Northbridge leaders, which opened the door to two subsequent placements at Zenith in California, where I continued advancing AI initiatives.

There’s a lot of room for growth. Fairfax companies value initiative and a willingness to take on responsibility. You can move between companies, learn completely different things, and really grow. Working with people who have real faith in you gives you the chance to move quickly to a whole new level.

The Fairfax Co-op Program gave me the opportunity to explore the full spectrum of insurance - from front-line claims to strategic decision-making. At Northbridge, I learned how exemplary customer service and operational efficiency come together. The team sought to build my skillset while incorporating my improvements into the claims process.

Networking opportunities helped me transition to an eight-month actuarial role at Fairfax, where I gained hands-on experience in data analysis and reserving. I appreciate working with talented professionals who were always willing to share their knowledge and mentor me through my actuarial journey. These experiences sharpened my technical and interpersonal skills, laying a strong foundation for my career.

I had two placements at Zenith (A Fairfax Company). After finishing my first placement, I was provided the opportunity to explore future internships at other Fairfax companies, resulting in interviews with Hudson in New York and Riverstone in the UK. I developed skills in product management, analytics, and human capital management. I had real responsibility, and was constantly challenged to learn and grow within my roles. My experiences with Zenith and the Fairfax co-op program have been overwhelmingly positive.
